Biography.Matt was born and brought up in Southport, Merseyside and trained at the Guildford School of Acting. He most recently appeared in "On the 20th Century" at the Union Theatre, London after playing "King Rat" in Dick Whittington at the Cochrane Theatre, London. In 2008/2009 Matt created the role of "Old Berger" in a new production of Hair at the English Theatre, Frankfurt (Germany). He played the role of "Riff Raff" at the UK Tour of Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show in 2007. Before joining the RHS he appeared in Tim Rice and Stephen Oliver's musical, 'Blondel' at the Pleasance Theatre, playing the part of Prince John. He has had a long association with the Cameron Mackintosh production of Les Miserables, both at the Palace Theatre and the Queens Theatre,
playing Grantaire, cover Thenardier, and also as Dance Captain. He also had the pleasure of performing a concert
version, as Grantaire, in front of the Queen
and President Chirac, for the celebrations of 100 years of the Entente
Cordial, t Windsor Castle, and also as Bamatabois in the First Scandinavian
Concert Tour. |
